A healthy body nurtures a happy mind, and a happy mind creates a fulfilling life

A medical camp was organised at MCD Primary School, CR Park, New Delhi on 5th September 2026.

As part of its ongoing Community Healthcare Initiative, The Neuroaid & Research Foundation (NRF) supported a comprehensive medical and rehabilitation camp at school. The initiative aimed to promote accessible healthcare, preventive health awareness, and the early identification of health and speech concerns within the school community..

The camp witnessed active participation from approximately 250 students, 100 parents, and 25 teachers, along with the school principal, doctors, healthcare professionals, and NRF team members.

Medical & Rehabilitation Services

A multispecialty medical team provided consultations in:

Ophthalmology

Dentistry

General Medicine

In addition, specialized rehabilitation services were provided by NRF professionals, with 15 participants receiving speech therapy and 22 participants receiving physiotherapy.

Promoting Early Intervention

An awareness session on speech, language, and communication was conducted by the NRF speech therapist, highlighting the importance of early identification and timely intervention for children experiencing speech, language, communication, or related developmental difficulties.

The session received an encouraging response from the school principal, teachers, and child educator. The school expressed interest in understanding the speech therapy services available at DCMS and indicated its willingness to identify and refer students who may benefit from specialized rehabilitation support.

Strengthening Community Partnerships

The initiative provided a valuable platform for integrating medical care, rehabilitation, health education, and community outreach under one initiative. The positive engagement with the school has opened opportunities for continued referrals and future collaboration between the school and DCMS.

Through such community-based initiatives, NRF continues to work towards making quality healthcare and rehabilitation services more accessible and strengthening early intervention and preventive care within the community.

Together, we move towards a healthier, more aware, and more inclusive community.
